I had to take Chem 2045C 2 years ago when I was a freshman. I hated that Mastering Chemistry online homework. I honestly don't remember much from that class because I switched to a business major.

I've already gave you the correfct answer, no ifs and or butts about it.

That's not a chemistry problem... its basic algebra and they want to know if you know how to properly use significant figures.

 

If your buddy got it wrong, tell him to look up the sig-fig rules.

I don't think significant digits count in that. If they did though, the answer would be 4ml. And that's not accurate enough for chemistry, IMO.

I have taken a Chemistry class with that specific online program...yes, it counts. If your buddy is having a hard time with the homework in this chapter, let him know that it is going to get a lot worse.
