hey guys i noticed a couple of days ago that my passenger side dash is starting to bubble. there is 3 big long bubbles ( 2 inchs long and half an inch wide) all that was sitting there was one of my clean work hats. some of local trucks started to bubble but no near as bad as mine.

did this happen to you?

and what should i do?

Buy a dash cover (fabric type) to cover the bubbles unless you want to replace the dash. You could also take it to a shop that repairs vinyl and leather upholstery and ask them what they can do with it.

What type of material is the dash made of? My Yukon has no problem with bubbling or dis-colouration. And it gets above 50 degrees here, in the summer. If you don't put the air con on before getting in the car, the heat inside the car strips your lungs

I have repainted my 1999 3 times.......... It must be something in the plastic causing it to let go. It always lets go on the Dash panel itself. Nothing else lets go........ Trim pieces that pop in are painted also but I have never had a bubble from them.....

You assume correctly, sir  Although I'm a Brit, I have gotten used to Celsius but I'm gonna stick with feet, miles, gallons and inches etc
