athenstiger Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Looking have a RC 2" leveling kit installed on my 2009 Sierra Crew All-Terrain, and was wondering if the 295/70/18s will fit without any other lift. If not, then I will go with the 285/65/18s. I'd love to go with the bigger size, but don't want to add more lift at this moment. Thanks for anyone's help. Adam
aggie08 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 No chance with the 295's. I have 285/65/18 Trail Grapplers with just a level, and they fit just perfect with some very minor tucking in the wheel well.
athenstiger Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Any pics of your truck you can post? thanks Adam No chance with the 295's. I have 285/65/18 Trail Grapplers with just a level, and they fit just perfect with some very minor tucking in the wheel well.
aggie08 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Here ya go: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...=117788&hl= There was some minor rubbing at almost full lock in reverse on the driver's side, but I just tightened the plastic and all was good.
gunit2283 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Run the 305 55 20 Thats what I am running had to do a little trimming but well worth it!! Pics in my sig
stlavsa Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 285/65/18 is what will fit your truck comfortably and completely. ANything bigger you will find a way to rub it if you try hard enough. Sucks but thats how it is with these wheel wells, its a design flaw in my personal opinion. Other people have run bigger tires (myself included b4 i had a lift) and it rubs. Honestly i feel like 285/65/18 or equivalent is the proportional size tire for the truck anyways if you are just leveled.
