I have a 1986 GMC 1500 P/U. When I push the button to go up or down the power windows will only go so far and then it will quit and I have to wait a few minutes to get it to go the rest of the way. I have replace the motors on both drivers side and passengers side window but it has made no differences. Also I have notices when you do push the button for the windows the radio will have static on it. Can anyone help me?

Did you check the condition of the window regulator? Maybe it's getting stuck

Sounds like the motor is shot.

I have replace both motors and regulators and replace door channels plus change both switches. Passenger side works good. Driver side does not. Driver side will only go about half way up or half way down and then I have to let it sit for a minute or so and then try it again

Can you try this with the door pan off where you can get a test light or meter on the positive side of the window motor. I am guessing when the window stops, there will be no power there. Further guessing I am going to say that the swithches have some sort of bimetal contact point that will break contact when it get hot. This is a crute over current protection, intended for when you hold the switch and the window is not moving.
