Is a Van a Truck?

I've owned a 2001 Astro Since 2003 with 28K mi. on it. I had a '99 before this one. New Long Block at in my current van at 97K mi., 11 months ago. I made the mistake of getting someone "cheap" to install the long block. I won't get into that. All I want to say here is that I've been around GM for 30 years even though my dad was a F@#! man. Sold cars and trucks, managed Sales and F&I at Chevy Dealerships for over 25 years (age- 63). I've seen just about all of the BS that happens at a Dealership. Whew!

 

I am amazed, again and again, at the value of "the internet" and, particularly, forums like this. Good to be here at GM Trucks.com. Thank you, initiators and administrators and posters.

The Astro is actually build on the S10 platform (at least I'm quite sure). So one could classify it as a truck, it certainly is more 'truck' than a mini-van.

I had a '99 Safari for a few years with the 4.3l and AWD, I liked that van a lot. It was a great tow vechicle and people mover.
