12v In Bed?

Where do you get 12v for dome lights in caps?

The place that I purchased my cap from tied the dome light into the park lights. ugh....that means I have to turn on the park lights to get the dome light in the cap to turn on (it has a switch).

I've been meaning to redo the wire and tie it into the 12v feed for the trailer connector. This was I can turn on the cap light anytime.

I agree with Partick, I'd tie into the trailer wiring, or if you really wanted to do it up, you could run a dedicated wire back there on it's own fused circuit.

Any cap place is just gonna tie it into your tail light and yes that stinks having to turn the truck lights on to turn the cap light on...I redid mine a week after I had my cap installed, I ran a fused wire from the battery.

I guess I'll run a wire. Where did you guys run the wire into the bed? I assume you just grounded to the nearest steel.
