Removing Mud Flaps

I have a set of Husky Mud Flaps on my 08 Sierra. The front drivers side has cracked. Only had them on for about 6 weeks. I don't believe that there should be any paint damage since the mud flaps have not been there very long. I am not going to replace the broken one. I am just going to do away with the flaps. It there anything I should do to the holes that were drilled? Or just put the screws back in and let it be. Thanks.

Depends on where you live, if you live in Tennessee, then I'd just screw the screws back in and leave it, but somewhere more northern, I'd put some type of sealant over the holes, like rtv or the like.
