Hid Install Help

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra an I bought a HID kit for the low beams its simple plug and play so they said... When i plug everything up it doesnt work. The only time they do turn on is when I hold the high beams on as in pulling the lever toward me but they dont when you push the lever back to keep the high beam on (their plugged into the low beam but only work on highs!?). Many people have told me i dont need a relay harness for this truck. Ive tried pulling the DRL fuse an nothing. Basically when i put the factory lights back in everything works normal again when hids are plugged in to the low beams the low beams only work when you hold the high beam lever forward. How and what do I need to do to install these and make it work because im really lost on why its working like this.

What brand of kit did you buy? Also I would highly reccomend using a relay harness, it may be a little more work, but it causes much less strain on the headlight circuit.

 

As for your specific issue. I'd do some searching and look over all your connections and the directions again, it sounds like you may have a signal wire mixed up somewhere

Its Truss and i checked and re checked all the connections just to get it to work the way i did I had to reverse the polarity

I did my 04 last year and had to reverse the pos./neg. with the extra wire connector they gave me and no problems,maybe you got a defective unit....mine was a PROMAX $60 kit from Amazon
