Headlight Is Fogged. Replace It? If So, From Where?

Hello all!

First things first, I own a gorgeous red 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 (Regular Cab, 5.3L V8, Manual Trans). Anyways, upon entering my garage the driver side headlight of my truck caught my attention.. It appeared opaque (i believe its referred to as a foggy headlight). With closer inspection I noticed a tiny fracture running vertically from the base of the assembly. Could this fracture have allowed moisture into the assembly? Can I somehow restore the assembly to its original beauty or do I have to simply buy a new one? In case replacement is the only option, I've already done some looking around online for possible vendors that I may buy from. I narrowed it down to two, but I don't know if either is legitimate. Has anyone ever dealt with

or

Or please just tell me I can restore the thing! Thanks in advance.

Do not buy the cheap ones from ebay. defective aiming devices and crappy plastic. constantly breaking. Junk yard is the way.

Rockauto is a good place to deal, but like a lot of other online places, they carry cheap stuff as well as OEM-quality. Frankly, with lighting being an important safety issue, I would go with OEM parts for the headlamp assembly. Don't cheap out when it comes to safety.

I you look on rockauto they have OEM parts. It depends on who made the OEM part (AC Delco, etc)

If the damage is on the exterior you can simply by a headlight restoration kit. I just restored the headlights on my 94' recently with great results. Of course, these kits remove damage and fogginess on the exterior. Sounds like yours might be on the inside if you have a crack.

I just bought some stuff from LMC truck and Im really disappointed. They took 2WEEKS!!! to figure out my freakn shipping charges!!! Then the shipping charges were astronomical. The lady kept trying to tell me that was normal. Ya you'll see what my normal is, not buying from you

For what they cost at Rock Auto I'd go that route and save the headache. Most replacement parts are made by Dorman and are of good quality. You won't see any difference with the original.
