08 Silverado 4x4 With Stock 20's

Ok I have a 08 Silverado 4x4 LTZ with the stock 20's. Replaced the stock z60 suspension in the front with the Bilstein 5100 Leveling Shocks (knotch 4, provides roughly 1.5 to 2" of lift in front), so the truck is leveled out. Looking to replace the crappy goodyear ls2's with some Cooper Zeon LTZs.

Question being , which size would be better to go with. 275/60/ r20 or 305/55/ r20. The 305s are LT while the 275's are P. 305s are 12.44 in wide (is this too wide for the stock 20's?). Torn between which ones to get. Anyone have any pictures with these sizes on their leveled out nnbs?

305/55/20 will not fit without a 3" body lift along with your level, or a 4" suspension lift is required. I believe the LTZ's come in a 305/50/20 which many run on here with a level.

Try a search for both sizes in the "Rims and Rubber" section of the forum. That should get you your pictures.

I have an 09 Reg Cab Silverado with a 2" RC kit and currently have 305/55/20 BG Goodrich All terrains with no rubbing issues at all...even at full crank. No trimming was required.

FYI

I test fit 305/55 on my truck with a rc level and i rubbed. widest I could fit was 285/55. I went with 275/60.

I tried said tire size in a Nitto on 20x8.5's with a +18mm offset, which isn't too far from stock, and they were no where in the realm of fitting without considerable trimming. That was with a 2" leveling kit. Others here have cut metal to fit those tires with 3" of lift.

I'd stay away from the LT's unless you tow or haul heavy loads often. Keep the ride with the P rated tires.

Not a huge fan of Cooper tires for ride anyways but HTH.
