Ok so while I was in mexico someone punched my lock cylinder in, they didn't steal anything, so anyways I had to get insurance on this thing, $100 no big deal right?

Ok so I won't go to the dealer I bought the truck from because they screwed my bumper up once, so I go to a place my sister recommended (also a GM dealer) and I've seen thier work I thought hey, why not? So when I get there I explain that the door panels never been off the driverside and that the trucks my baby, and please don't break anything. The adjuster assures me they would replace anything they break.

Ok so I've had my passenger door apart so I know what to look for on improper installation, I am a perfectionist you see.

So I go pick the truck up and whaddya know the plastic cover piece behind the inside door release handle had broken tabs (actually not even clipped in!), the window winder didn't match position with the passenger side then the door lock tab was 1/4" higher than the passenger side. SO ANYWAYS the manager said he would replace the cover, I didn't even bother mentioning the other things. Of course he had no idea how such a thing could happen.

I just went home and used my own plastic tools to adjust the door lock tab, and move the window winder to correct position (everything is back to factory positions now!), reason is, it looks like those assholes used metal screw drivers to do the job.

Ok I'm done. I knew I should have pulled the door panel off for them!

Oh but he made sure to point out they washed my truck.

I understand where you are coming from...I'm a perfectionist, also...I'm kinda' anal about some things. BUT, if you take it to the dealer already expecting that you can do just as good if not better of a job than them....maybe you should do it yourself and save yourself some time and alot of stress. BTDT with a couple of my own customers.
