New Guy From Indiana

Hi All,

Recently joined and wanted to introduce myself. I just bought an '08 Silverado 1500 Z71 CC in Graystone Metallic. I'm trying to decide which way to go with new wheels and tires. It came with the 17" aluminum wheels and I need to make it my own. I'm leaning toward just leveling out the front and going with 18" wheels and 285/65R18. So far I've added Raptor 4" oval stainless steps and an Extang Full-Tilt toneau.

I lurked here several years ago after I purchased a new black '02 2500 HD 4x4 CC. Love the site and looking forward to learning and sharing any info I can.

Welcome from another fellow Hoosier here! I would say go with the stock 18's. Check out craigslist and see if you can score some. I seen some recently (Indianapolis) for like $400

Congrats on the new truck. Wheels are always a good choice :uhoh:

Welcome to the site.

I couldn't agree more. I spent 10 years in the aluminum wheel industry in both engineering and management roles and in my mind wheels make or break the appearance of a vehicle. I actually think the 18" OEM wheel is one of the better looking truck wheels that GM has came out with in a long time. Too bad more design work didn't go into the 20" LTZ wheel.
