Finally Decided On A Wheel

Now I am just having a hard time picking tires. Not only size but brand. I drive this truck in the mountains and snow during the winter but it's mostly on the road and some off road but nothing major. I want a tire that has a good looking tread. the goodyear tires that comes on the z71 gmc's are horrible. i loose traction all the time in the rain and end up drifting when turning.

 

but I am open to any suggestions and please post pictures if you can.

 

and the most commonly asked question. Whats the largest size tire i can run with those rims. I dont mind if I have to trim. I want it too look full and meaty. I am sitting just on your basic rough country level thing. I don't plan on lifting it I just want to change these rims and tires and be done.

If you want the tires to look big I would suggest a 305/55 or 305/50. You should be able to clear the 33s with the +25 offset wheels, but maybe someone will chime in and let you know.

 

Brand is up to you and what you like. I love the look of BFG's others hate them. I like the Cooper Zeon too.

this offset is weird. Will these be flush with the fenders or will they poke out some

The bs on those Raptors is about 6.23" vs. 5.9" on the stock 20's, so the tires will sit pretty flush. I would go with a 275/60. DO NOT go with a 305/55, as they will require cutting metal and will likely still rub in offroad situations. You could go with a 305/50, but I would worry that with those wheels the width of the tires may cause rubbing on the sway bar.
