Option Codes

Hey does any one out there know if it is possible to get a new option code sticker or a list of the option codes that my truck has. I have a 1989 GMC K2500 that i love but i got shipped over seas for a year and when i came back found the winsheild smashed and the glove box full of water. i still have the white sticker but all the codes got washed away.

Codes for what dude? You probably cant unless the dealership has the sticker, as for any numbers, just get em coped from somebody who has a truck that matches yours

I don't know how far back VIN records go with GM. If they still have them you could take your VIN and have them run it. I know there is a cutoff by year on the info, or it may be very limited info

Yeah the dealer only goes back 20 years. And as far as finding an identical truck that's very hard to do considering the codes for things like gear ratio and stuff are very hard to match

It may not be 100% accurate, but I bet this will help. Put in your VIN and it'll tell you what you want to know.
