Hey guys I'm trying to decide whether to spend a few extra bucks on the michelins or go with the silent armors. I had michelins on my last truck and didn't have a problem with them other than in deep snow but that might have been due to the wad vs the 4x4 i have now.

Go with the LTX AT/2's over the MS/2's. I have a set of the AT/2's on my truck and MS/2's on the woman's Jeep. Big difference in traction, for sure. The AT/2's do better in everything that you'd think an AT tire would....snow, mud, etc. The MS/2's are a better street tire and do better on the icy stuff as well. It's all in how and what you drive in.

Both much better than the Goodyear's, imo. :)

they are both great tires... the LTX being the better of the two. i have silent armors on all of my trucks and on my 2001, they seem to be wearing too fast..i drive it hard but still... had the LTX's, great performing tires, and great life too.

I have the Michelin LTX MS/2's and really like them so far. They have been on for about 4000 miles, great in the dry, wet, really quiet. Have not had any snow yet this year to try out traction, but I'm not worried.

I have the LTX MS2 on my truck. They are the tires that came on it so I have nothing to compare to. But they are really quiet, smooth, and very slow wearing. However I'm wanting to get some goodyear duratracs for my next set. Strictly for looks. Probably not as good of tire though...haha
