Nate1958 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hello, 2000 Silverado LS ext cab 2wd stepside 5.3L Gibson shorty headers Flowmaster 70 Hypertech Cold air intake Centerline 20 inch Tires 285x50 Yokohama Parada Spec I had my center support bearing replaced this week. Driveshaft had less than a half inch of side moment. This is kind of surprising since the OEM part (12471505) seems to be an enclosed one piece unit, which would prevent rubber from being pushed or pulled out. Interesting also, is that this part from GM is not available. It was superseded eight times. The current part is # 15898102. I got it for $75 from dealer. This part is not the same, it's a U shape bracket with press fit studs appears to be heavy duty. So far I have no issues. I just found out that Westar industries and SKF make the same part as part 12471505. Have a great new year....
