2003 Gmc Sierra B&m Shift Plus

I have a B&M Shift plus electronic shift improver on my truck and it isnt supposed to work on vehicles later than 98. I have a friend with a 2003 GMC Sierra and he is looking for somthing to firm up his shifts, So I suggested the shift plus. On B&M's website it says that it wont work for his truck, But seeing as my truck and his have the same transmission would like to think if I find the right wires to tap into I could make it work.

So heres my question, Has anybody made shift plus work on a nbs chevy/gmc truck? If so can you tell me what wires you tapped into?

I used one on my 01 S10.. .and it worked great. I remember the wire being a light blue with white stripe and maybe a red with black stripe.

Not sure about anything newer, but it worked great on my S10. :)

S10forum.com might have the answer you need. :)

Well i was going to post on there but since his truck is a fullsize, figured I would post on here.

It won't work, there is a difference in electronics that will prevent it. Why not just run it in tow/haul mode if he's looking to firm up shifts?

Agreed, it might be the same transmission, but the electronics have certainly changed over the years.

I would instead consider using Corvette or billet shift servos to firm up the shifts, they are not expensive and not very hard to install, even for a transmission novice.

Or better yet, you could get a custom tune to firm the shifts too.
