Air Bag Install Thread?

Hey guys,

 

I searched and I searched but I cannot find the thread on here that shows an air bag install with pics? If anybody has a link please post I am going to install them today and would like a reference with photos.

I am glad to have found you!!! I already lost my mind and packed up the bags back in the box after hours on end trying to tighten the F-ing nickel bolt and nut that holds the upper mount. I apparently do not have a tool that can fit inside the frame to hold the bolt from spinning freely. I tried so long to do it with a wrench but just couldn't get a good hold on it. So now that I gave up and remounted the tires etc please show me the tool or the secret way to hold that bolt from spinning freely. I saw your post and the pictures and only wish my truck looked like that right now. To top the cake when I got back inside the wife asked what took me so long. Lol one damn nut took me that long!

I don't remember exactly, but I believe we just used a normal wrench, with some careful fanangaling and some patience.

I am thinking of just selling these if somebody wants to buy them. I only attempted to tighten one bolt so essentially the entire kit is brand new. I would like to sell them for what I bought the kit for which was $205

I used a regular wrench. If I remember right, it took a while since I couldn't get very much of a turn on it each time. That was the hardest part of the install, everything else is pretty straight forward. They are well worth it, towing is so much better now.

Dont give up so easy. You having problems with the carriage bolt that goes across or the regular bolt that drops down? This instal if done by the book takes less than 2 hrs.
