Discharge Problem On Chevy 6l Silverado

we have a 2005 chevy 6l here, the vehicle has a voltage drain problem. is it possible for the alternator to couse the drain but still work properly when running?example, with key off the truck will loose .03 volts in a 5 min period...

 

has any one had a problem like this on there truck? any info appreciated!

i tested the alternator and its good, disconnected the 2 way radio and have tried to isolate the problem but havent had any luck. not sure where to even start with a problem like this???

.03 v in 5 min means nothing ,

 

do a paracitic draw test,it is done on the Ma scale of a multimeter on the negative side of the battery,

 

acceptable drain is 25Ma i believe ,there is a disconnect tool that is used at the battery,if you have a tech 2 scanner you can "power down now" feature in "special functions " in the BCM ,if not let the truck sit awhile for the modules to go to sleep before checking draw.

 

or sublet the truck out downtown if you are close to the horse lol
