You pretty much got everything man. Although i change my oil every 3000, no big deal. Greasing all the tie rod ends & ball joints helps to, i grease them every 6000, it will dramatically increase their life span. Also keep an eye on your gear oil in the axles to, especially since you tow with it. Do all that, and your truck will last like a chevy/gmc should. My '94 GMC 1500 has 250,000 on her and she runs like clock!

After having replacing on two suburbans (1989 and 1994) the rear end axels and outter bearings I have come to the conclusion that the 1/2 ton chevy rear ends tend to be a weak link. I bought both of these trucks with about 80k on them so I have no idea what happend before me but if it was me I would change the rear lube a liltte more than what is scheduled.

I pull a 20' foot TT about 4-5 times per year and I plan on changing the rear lube and trans fluid every 2-3 years. We put on about 4,000-5,000miles per year with about 800miles of towing for what its worth.

To be honest with you I'm not sure what the rear end of our 2011 looks like as compared to my older trucks but if they are close to the same its easy to change the fluid and pull the axels out a few inches to just to check if you heated up the outside axel/bearing. At mnimum I would just change the fluid for sure. I may go with synthetic when I change the rear fluid to.

For what these trucks cost and limited amout of miles I put on per year I have no problem looking at it every 3 years. I know this maybe way over the top for what is really needed but I'm a little anel when it comes to my stuff! $35,000 truck, $30 bucks for rear end oil and a new gasget, seems cheap to me!

clean your TB and MAF, and put a can of Sea Foam in your gas tank should help. you could also do the Sea Foam thru your intake also. even with only 20,000 mi. you can still get a carbon build up..

good luck
