I will be so glad when it comes. My provider is not the best, kicked off line, pages time out, etc. etc. etc. Sorry for venting just very frustrated.

I know how you feel.  At school it was real easy for me to get used to the T3 line that I had.  Now that I'm home all that we can get is a 26400 connection, on a real good day it might be 28800.  Only two years ago did internet access become available here, so I don't see any DSL lines coming anytime soon.  Sure wish there was a way to get the high speed access in a not so expensive manner, but I guess I should just be lucky we can get a connection at all.

The local phone company here just bought out the local ISP, and they are really pushing DSL, BUT I pay ?.00 per month for unlimited time now but DSL is ?.99 per month with a limit of 200 hours per month.  My connection is running about 56K now and the local cable TV company will not run me  cable TV so I own a Big Dish so cable modem is also out of the question.  Where I work we have a cable modem and it is really fast, not as good as a T-1 or T-3 but it is bad fast.

We can't get DSL here. Too rural. I looked into satellite but when we did it wasn't really productive. It was one way then and I understand it is now two way. Oh, well.

at our old house when we first got adsl, we paid for the hardware, which cost too much then, but we owned the hardware. at this house we got cable, free install they loan us the hardware (ewww) so its a little cheaper. but i still think the 2 way sat being offered isnt a bad deal. now if only they could make it like DSS i would say screw cable i'm going sat (take it with me anywhere in my sport hauler)
