1500, 6.2, Exhaust System Options

I've searched and can't seem to find the right answere.

I see that Borla and Magnaflow offer exhaust systems for the 2011 sierra Denali model. However does anyone know if the denali exhaust will work with the

6.2 in the SLT or SLE models? I cant imagin thers much differnce between the Denali and The SLT for the exhaust hookups, but then again they dont offer it?

Any ideas? I've emailed magnaflow but they havent exactly helped.

I would call Borla and ask simply because they have the better reputation and the better product. I've had Borla systems on two previous Fords and the Borla is an EXACT fit, like 20 minutes to hang the new system and tighten the clamps. Borla also has the 1,000,000 mile warranty in their favor.

Banks would also be a choice to call and talk to their engineering staff about system fit. I know with Banks one system (part number) fits every trim level.

Not too many people want to mod the 6.2 exhaust as it's one of the rare factory systems that actually sound pretty darn good stock.

Yeah as long as your truck is a crew cab it will bolt up fine and line up with all the hangers and i think a ext cab will work too since there the same wheel base but not to sure on that. what year is your truck? the connection flange from th 07-08s are different from the 09 to current so as long as you order for your specific year you will be alright... Im actually looking for a factory 6.2 exhaust would you want to sell yours?

I ordered a spintech muffler, and will be installing it in place of the factory muffler soon. i heard some clips online and it sounds very nice.

I've had a Spintech 9553 in my cart for a few days now. I'm just worried it's going to be too loud on the 6.2L for everyday driving.

I agree. As far as factory pickup exhausts go, this is about as good as I've heard.

Yep. I'm a big aftermarket exhaust guy. I've had cat-back exhausts (and long-tube headers, etc.) on several vehicles I've owned. Corsa, Magnaflow, heck even GReddy on my former Honda Prelude. :driving: I was tempted to put a Corsa on the Yukon Denali, but the stock exhaust has a very, very nice tone at light throttle and low rpm accelerating away from a light or idling (especially after a cold start), but then it's quiet at cruise on the highway with zero drone. So, I'm not messing it with personally. GM did this factory exhaust right.

Only other GM exhaust I haven't felt to compelled to swap to aftermarket is my ZR1. It's quiet at light throttle and below 3rpm, but nail it above 3k and it just sound perfect and bada**.

Yep...kudo to GM for making such a sweet sound :driving:

But I couldn´t resist and threw a Flowmaster 50 on my truck..originally I wanted to take the Super 44 but I was told it would be to loud in the long term...now I´m so happy with my choice....

I had a Super 40 dumped out under the bed in my 03 and it was awesome for like a month- then I took my first long road trip and I hated the exhaust after that. :driving: About the only thing it was good for after that was setting off car alarms when I started it up. :)

Oh and have you looked at Corsa? they make some really nice exhaust systems def worth the money and sound great with no drone.

+1 :driving: CORSA is the only system I will run,I have had their systems on my last 3 trucks and will be ordering one for my Camaro SS as well :)

I've got Dynatech Longtube headers, high flow cats and a Corsa Touring exhaust. With the Corsa exhaust + headers, the interior of the truck is quieter than with the stock exhaust!!

It's great for cruising on the highway and it has a really, really nice growl when you get on the gas. From the exterior, it sounds absolutely nasty!
