Exhaust Cutout

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with the 3" raceland exhaust cutout. I was wondering how well it would stand up to rust and corrosion etc.

Thanks

i have never heard of that brand. but since it is stainless steel it should not rust and corrode. unless it is real cheap stainless steel. it does seem a little cheap. i know other cut outs are about $200-$300 for one. and those are 304 stainless steel or aluminium.

If your doing the cut-outs for power gains i think your wasting your time unless you are running some pretty big boost. Most people claim torque loss and plus how do u tune for open vs closed? You gotta sacrifice one or the other pretty much unless you get a tuner to load a couple different custom tunes on a programmer and u then switch the tune when u open/close the cut out.

Not doing it for power really just for the sound. I guess when i get a tune id have to ask Justin how he would like me to run the truck.

If you want the cutout to bypass the muffler it really won't effect anything. It won't matter if you tuned for it or not. I ran a cutout once and liked it because closed the exhaust was out the back and open its a loud turn down.

I don't like that kit because of the wiring, looks cheap. Who would develop something that has to be welded in, but the wiring is a cigarette plug. So basically its half permanent being welded in but the wiring is just plug in :driving:
