Programming Heated Seats

I just installed a GM Heated Seat kit (#17803282) in my 2008 Crew Cab Silverado. I took it to the local Chevrolet dealer today and after 2 hours they were unable to program it. The mechanic was unsure where the menu was to add the Heated Seat option. We looked in the "Body Control Module" and no pull down menus existed. He thought it may be under the "drivers door module", but the only options there had about 20 numbers (with 8 digits) to choose from (starting with 25xxxxxx) and no explanations of what the numbers corresponded with. We checked the instructions included with the kit and they made no reference. Can you help with this project?

I put one of those in at work one time. It was a nightmare. I don't remember what I did to get it to work. Might have had to call tech line to get a vci number. Anyhow good luck.

Hi its 2GCEK19J981126214. I have seat control module 25862293. The seat heaters come on when the buttons are pressed, but the control lights don't indicate and the heaters aren't kicking on with the remote starter. I looked it up on tis2web.service.gm.com and it shows HVSMF Front Seat Heating Control Module programming software for Operating System, Heat, and System. Is there another menu (BCM Interior Lights?)? I wonder if the tech put the wrong VIN or module number, or if there's something else to select on one of the menus?

I will look up on SPS later today and see if that is an option for that vin. If not you will need a vci or get a vin and trick sps into thinking its a different car to program the module.

I have not forgotten about you but just have not had the free time to pull up the vin. Soon as I get a free minute this week I will.

Problem found and corrected, signal wire was hooked up wrong (looped to itself, not to the junction block). Unrelated to module calibration programming. Thanks for looking.
