Move Stock Radio

Hello All,

2010 Silverado, stock radio with XM and On-Star.

I would like to install a 7" VGA touch screen in place of the stock radio as a display for a truck computer. I want to keep the radio and all of it's functions by moving it close to the floor under the glovebox.

I believe the antenna wire is long enough, but I need to extend the radio wiring harness without cutting it and splicing in extended wires.

Are there any harness extensions available or the plugs to build my own extension?

Thanks in advance, Charlie

the guys at coastaletech.com make a pass-thru harness for their lockpick product..

I bet if you call them and ask they might be willing to sell you the harness but it only adds about 8 inches to the OEM length.. if you need more maybe you can convice them to make you one as they have the male and female connectors and the proper wire color pinout for their pass-thru..

won't be cheap though.. expect about $125 or more for the wiring, if they will do it..

Try Metraonline.com. I know they make reverse harness as well as the harness to wire up an aftermarket radio. The problem is you won't be able to search by your vehicle on the site as all that will come up is the module that retains factory door chimes and Onstar. Maybe give them a call and see what they have to say.
