MPG numbers (Silverado vs Blazer)

Well today I compared my mpg (truck in sig) to my moms 00 blazer (4wd 4 door V-6)

 

Mine was 100% city driving back and forth to school and work

Hers was 75% city and 25% highway

 

Mine: 10.8 mpg

Hers: 13.7 mpg

Around here (SC) we average 5-6 mpg better in the truck and about the same difference in the blazer.

Before my Silverado 4.8 I had an '01 Blazer ZR2! My MPG during a week of driving to school, 75% highway, 25% city I got about 15mpg in the Blazer ZR2 and I get about 17.5 in my Silverado!
