I'm Thinking Rhino Hardline

I hate to contribute to the continuing bedliner wars, but I'm looking at Rhino's product very seriously. I know quite a bit about Line-x as it was sprayed in my 04 Silverado. The biggest conisideration is price as Rhino is substantially less expensive. Now before you give me the Rhino=cottage cheese & rubber look.... this is a newer product which looks to be similar to the Line-x. I had a Rhino Tuff Stuff in a truck I bought used and I didn't care for that look either, but this appears to be different. There's a guy on the Ford forums that had his truck sprayed by a dealer within driving distance to me. Here's a few pictures of how his turned out. Note he didn't have his tailgate sprayed as it had the Ford tailgate step from the factory. For those who are Line-x guys (it's been a few years since I had mine) feel free to rip these pictures apart or tell me if this looks as good as I think it does. By the way I'm not interested in the "I dropped seven tons of TNT in my bed and lit a fuse and the liner looks like new comments" My truck won't see HEAVY use like that; I am more interested in how the texture and look compares. Since the warranty is the same and money is less I want opinions. Here we go....

Also from all I can learn about this installer he seems to take his time and do the job right. I know Ford owners often comment on how some sprayins cover their bed bolts and rubber plugs. I know the bolts are a non issue on the Chevy, but he did take the time to remove them and do it right. Install is at least 50% of bedliner satisfaction I think.

I have a Rhino Tuff Grip in mine and it looks just like those pictures as far as texture. I think it mostly comes down to the installer for quality. Mine did fade quickly but I did NOT treat it with what ever that stuff is they told me to use. Its a truck bed so I really don't care if its faded, but thats just me. :dunno:

I had both linex and rhinoliner on previous trucks and went back to rhino for my 09. Both held up flawlessly to wear even after having landscape rock loaded in with payloader. The only real difference I noticed is that rhino is a stickier finish which I wanted so light objects don't slide around as much. I think you'd actually be happy with either.

I had a rhino in my 2000 and now I have a linex. Only reason I went with Line X was there wasnt a rhino dealer close to me. I like them both and they both do the job. No cons from either really.

Well I finally made a decision on the bedliner. I'm going Linex again. Supposed to have the Linex Premium sprayed in Wednesday. It is my understanding that the Premium is the "replacement" for xtra. Hoping to avoid the fading of the regular Linex. I imagine with some good luck I'll try to post some pictures later in the week.

Rock on Bro! Line-x extra/premium or Rhino Extreme are the best choices IMO. I got my bed over the rail and wheel wells done with rhino extreme and it is awesome. It has been almost 6 months and there is zero fading or wear and tear of any type. Even in the wheel wells which get caked with mud, hit with rocks, ect still look great. I just use a pressure washer to blast it out and it comes out looking like new again. If you don't already have some sort of treatment or the liners for your wheel wells, I would recommend them getting linexed too!

I was able to get my dealer to do a spray for free as the final deal maker. It looks just like what you showed in the pictures. If you don't a lot of carrying loads, I'd go with what looks better. That is why I wanted a spray in as opposed to empty or a plastic one. Just looks so much nicer.

I have a buddy who has a liner and it was either put it poorly or they just have to do it like this, but it was A LOT of material. It took away from a lot of the curves and overall looked terrible.

Yeah, I just came out of a Tundra that was leased. When I got that truck I put a drop in plastic liner in it (since I knew I wouldn't keep it when the lease was up) I missed the spray in from my previous truck all the time I was in the Tundra. The plastic liner just wasn't my thing. It was too slick, it would warp in bright sunlight, etc. I knew when I got the Chevy I'd have to do another spray in (I plan on hanging on to Wolfy for a while)

By the way, is your truck Taupe Gray? Looks like it in your signature. I'm liking this color more and more every day. Glad I decided to go with it
