Couldn't find any information on this, so here is mine.

Hello, I own a 2007 Chevy Silverado (GMT900) crew cab, check my garage for my truck pictures! Well my drivers seat manual lumbar support made the popping sound on the way home and my lower back sunk deep into the seat. The manual knob did nothing in either direction! So I decided to see if it was an easy fix when I got home. First I needed to see what was exactly wrong with it. I took a quick peek under the seat to see if I saw anything out of place, all good there. So I moved to the back of the seat. I very very carefully and slowly pulled the lip back with my fingers to take a quick look at what was holding the panel on. There were two plastic hooks on the top, 2 tabs on the left side, 2 tabs on the right side, and 2 across the bottom. First I grabbed a long flat head screw driver, carefully pulling the lip back, I used the screw driver to push the first hook down and under the bar holding it. Next was the other hook and I carefully repeated same thing as the first hook. Once both top hooks were free I was able to slide my arm down both sides and release the tabs off the left and right sides. Then I released the last 2 tabs on the bottom. The back panel is off and undamaged. :-)

Now the fun part, what is wrong with my lumbar?!!!!

Well on mine the S-shaped(?) metal piece holding the left side of the plastic lumbar support to the cable decided to act like a knife and cut the support in half. The break is in the first picture with the screw driver pointing at it. As you can see I used quite a few zip ties, play around with what works for you. Once I finished I went up front and tested it out a few times and had my girlfriend test it out while I made sure the 2 zip ties on the left side wouldn't break. We'll see how long those 2 zip ties last, if they break then I'll just make it 3 or 4 next time. The last picture shows what the left side looks like unbroken and with a factory zip tie. Reinstalled the back panel, bottom tabs first, left and right sides, and then used the long flat head screw driver to push the hooks down and over the bar. Very carefully!!! I hope this helps anyone who has a lumbar support failure on these NBS trucks. This is a manual lumbar not sure how much different a power 1 is. Good luck.

Great how to! Any chance you know the part number for that whole setup? plastic and spring clips at the end? Both of my clips broke and the plastic broke.
