hey everyone

im new to this site, i tried asking this question over at gmfullsize , no answers

so i am trying to figure out if 7 or 8" x 3.5" wide c-channel or rectangular tubeing would be betterfor a custom pulling truck fram. and also is there anyhting wrong with keeping a straight frame or do i have to put the humps over the axles?

thanks in advance

i have no idea, i feel like a strait frame would be alot harder to build off of as far as making anythin fit with propper axle clearance. but just a suggestion if you're looking to do a ground up build i'd HIGHLY suggest findind someone who builds them, and becomming very good friends with them... in my eyes when i start a project if i can't figure out step one then im in over my head most likely

alright you make a good point, maybe the better idea would to be save up and buy a factory frame or find a wrecked truck.
