Rear Swaybar?

Recommended Posts

I plan on getting a rear swaybar for my truck, is anyone else running one and do you notice any better handling?

Another thing why doesn't GM put rear swaybars on there 1/2ton trucks but all the SUV's have them? Just wandering.

suv's have them due to a entirely different suspension set up and coil spring suspension. its a truck they design them to tow and haul weight not to take corners at high speeds

I put one on my 2008 1500 LTZ Ex-cab 4x4. Cost about $250 and installed myself, though an extra set of hands would make the job alot easier. Worth it? Not sure only had the truck about a week before I put ot on. Handles nice though around highway jug handles on/off ramps.

I want to say Heilwig (spelling). All I know is when I asked my 76 year old father about if i should or shoudn't put a sway bar on the truck, he said "the best thing you can do to a full sized truck is add a rear sway bar" I always respect his input, and he has never proved me wrong.
