Rear View Camera

I am looking for a rear view camera to hook up to the Bose navigation radio in my 2008 Sierra.

So far, I am considering either the Cubby cam ($399) http://www.cubbycam.com/store/index.php?ma...3fd451c43bdaa7d which I think is the same as the GM unit, or a GM backup Cams system ($170) http://www.gmbackupcams.com/products/. Both come with the new tailgate bezel with camera mount.

I am wondering if the Cubby Cam is worth the extra $230. Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

Thanks

I was actually wondering the same exact thing for my '07 Avalanche. Was looking at Cubby Cam as well but nice to see you found this other cheaper product. Anyone have experiences/recommendations on these two units?? Thanks!

I have no experience of either and without seeing detailed specs can not tell you the difference, but the main difference in back up camera quality is their ability to function in low light and viewing angle, the resolution is not really a factor as it is often higher than the display. However the cheaper one does say it is a 170* wide angle so you will have a large field of vision. I would say that is likely your best best as long as it has the factory style connectors to hook it up.

It would make me a bit leery of a site (cheaper one) that has only had 454 hits. If you scroll to the bottom, you will see their counter.
