Black Step Bars....

So I have been searching for a while now and can not find exactly what I am looking for in a step bar. I have a 2006 1500HD standard bed. I am trying to find black oval step bars for it, not nerf bars. I would like the ends to bend in slightly, instead of being straight. Also I am trying to find a set that goes from wheel to wheel, instead of cab length. I want black instead of chrome or shiny finish, I would prefer if they had an aggressive or rougher finish to them instead of smooth although it is not a deal breaker.

Now that I have mentioned what I want, has anybody seen any like these. I have been searching this site as well as just about every site and image on google and have not found what I am looking for. Any ideas?? Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't like the black bars, they always chipped and rusted on me over time. I have aluminum with plastic step on my truck. They came with the truck. Even though they don't look as nice as other options, they have no rust on them and do not chip. nor are they slippery when there is snow out. If I were you, I would consider something in aluminum or stainless steal. This way it won't rust out on you a few years down the road. You also could apply the bed liner paint on the bars, to protect them from chipping and rusting. I had that done on my bars on other truck.

I found these, but I have not found the large oval steps for the Chevy yet, only for ford and dodge. Ive seen these in stainless and black powdercoat. I have already thought about painting whatever I get with a black undercoating to help prevent chips and what not. I am in Alaska, so road salt is not an issue. They do not use it at all up here, only sand and gravel.

The only thing I am not sure on these steps by Aries is the length. Most step bars seem to not specify length either by actual measurement or stating cab length or wheel to wheel. I definitely am looking at the wider style steps mostly for the mrs and the kids. My oldest is only 4 so steps will make it easier for him to climb up into the truck. If i new a metal worker in town with a large brake press, I would consider making my own. I have been looking for an excuse to pick up a small welder and some more tools......hmmmmm.....

How about these?

Westin Oval Wheel to Wheel...

Looks like they come in black... As far as the wrinkle finish, I think you are gonna have to get them redone or line-x'd or something like that.

Hope that helps!

Does anyone hve any pictures on their truck with these? Also has anyone had any experience or know anything about Aries step bars?
