Very! Unplug cable at rear of radio, insert the "Y" harness and module, and run the iPod cable out to where you want to locate it. The iPod cable is 11' long, so there are plenty of options. All fits neatly behind the radio. I ran my iPod into the glovebox. All iPod controls are now done through radio or steering wheel controls. Never knew it was installed....

But how hard is it to get to the rear if the radio? I've had the dash off another truck. What a headache.

Larry, once you pull the dash bezel off, just remove 3 or 4 small bolts that retain the radio. If I remember, they are 7 or 8 mm. After that, radio has enough cable to pull out, then unplug original cable, and insert "Y" harness between the radio and original cable. I still have all the instructions for installing the adapter. Hey Ray, Thanks for letting me know. Read your instructions, install, and enjoy. I kept mine plugged in all the time, it meant it was always charged, and kept it in the glovebox. Take care...
