how do YOU know I havent ridden/drove one yet??? there is one at a dealer about an hour from my house right now.....do you think I could have stopped in by chance, i think so.

 

second of all, why is it cool? cause it has awesome "SS" embroided headrests?

 

I personally feel that GM has once again made itself the butt of a joke by placing the SS name on yet another slow ass product and claiming it to be a performance vehicle. im sorry, but the truck is a turd. it might look nice, and be comfortable and even "sporty", but a sport truck its not.

I know, because there is only one out there, and its not at your local dealership. Its on tour in the southwest..

I actually think the Silverado "SS" is a step in the right direction, even though I hate it being AWD.

 

If putting SS badges on vehicles with low hp/tq upsets people, the Silverado SS should be the least of their worries, one year I saw a bunch of cavaliers at the dealer with SS decals on them and then they put SS on a few S10s there for a bit. The Silverado isnt supposed to compete with a '68 Camaro SS or something, but GM doesnt use the SS name as tightly as they used to. Just my .02 dont wanna start anything!

I agree...the SS isn't what I wanted to see, but it's a lot better than not having anything at all.  Hopefully they'll improve it in the next few years.

I think you have been misinformed. according to people I have good contacts with in Michigan, there are already trucks sold and driving on the roads even. Why would it be on tour? the truck is old news already, its not like its anything special.

As far as there only being 1 in existance, pleaseeeeeeeee dude, there is a blue one on Chevys website, there have been pics of a black one in many magazines, and evern 2 versions a red one have been out on the net (no, im not talking about the really cheezy slammed one that came out 2 years ago).

 

Did you know there is already a regular cab silverado in existance? or am I making that up too. I got pics if ya want. spare me, the truck is still a slow as POS any way you slice it.

What was the sticker price on the one at the dealer? I think they are cool, and I doubt there are any out there at dealerships yet. Sorry, I just don't believe you.

 

Even the Chevy site says "Early 2003".

 

Not to mention, when they are actually out, they will be all over ebay, i.e. Thunderbirds, Indy vettes, etc.

We are working with the SS Marketing Manger to promote, and support the SS enthusiasts. I was the first non-GM person to have a photoshoot with the SS, and to ride in it.

Anyway you slice it, i know more, and have more one-on-one time with the truck than anyone in this thread, or on this board.

 

They have not started making them, and dealerships have not sold any yet. They are not on the road.

 

Yes, there is a black regular cab that John Moss made. Its a one off. Yes, there is the blue one. Its out touring. I can't comment on the Red one, because i havn't asked about it. From what i know, they don't have a red one out yet. Most likely you saw a photoshop...

 

Chevrolet hasn't even released pricing, and i have the memo that states production starts Dec 9th in my hands right now. How can they be on the road???    

 

So, again, how can you know? Not a single non-GM person has driven one yet!  There are no performance figures out there yet!
