Not sure if this is the best section but here it is anyway.

Incredible, this is also with the updated super duty (400hp, 800lb-ft torque)

Chevy beats it by over 2 minutes up the mountain, reaching over 60mph in no time, whilist the ford has a hard time making it to 40 and finally gets to around 50 mph.

Flowerstroke sucks

Chevy ftw

Clearly.....

The best truck won. Maybe, instead of focusing on how many LCD screens you can shove into the dash cluster and the ability to talk to your radio, Ford should have focused on making the truck...a better truck. Not an overgrown iPod.

.....bbbuuutttt, the Ford puts more HP/Torque to the rear wheels than the Chevy. Obviously, the test was slanted so Chevy would win. I mean come on, a retired Ford engineer driving? How could that be fair to Ford? Pulling a load up a hill and coming back down? what kind of real world test is that?

^^ if you are being serious then you're a fool to put it nicely, just because the Ford has more HP/TQ does not mean crap. The numbers are very close and not enough to make a huge difference. Those numbers are just the start, you also need to look at the gearing in the axles and also the gear ratio's of each gear in the tranny, when properly chosen it will bring out the best power tot the ground results. This was a very fair test and if people like you just look at numbers then yeah sure why the hell wouldn't the Ford win???? Because numbers aren't everything a true work test shows the true colors of each truck. But if you were being sarcastic as I hope you were then disregard and yeah this is not fair..... GM beat out the most powerful full size truck on market in a test it should have easily lost at by looking at numbers how rude that is to Ford.

After watching that video, FORD clearly SUCKS :D in the power dept.

P.S. I like the warning at the top of this thread.

Espeically after my last thread was closed down "Ford Eco Boost" thread

that one got a little out of hand.

to put it in simple terms: Its Not How Much Power you Make, Its How you Put it down to the Wheels.

here is all the numbers to back up the video.

this is by far the closest I have ever seen a pickup truck test.

To my understanding, the HP/ TQ ratings are at the flywheel. as you can see in the the above article, the ford's new transmission is lacking a direct gear ratio. I feel that the ford suffers from power loss via the transmission. I am no engineer, but as I see it, the lack of a direct gear would surely result in less efficiency. this is also evident in another test involving the HD gassers. the 6.2L was also better on paper as far as hp/tq, but the 6.0L Vortec outperformed it. granted the vortec has the 6 speed hydramatic, but the point is the 6.2L Ford shares the same direct-less 6spd as the PSD.
