Driver Side Speakers

I have a 2004 Duramax Crew Cab...

My door speakers on my drivers side are not working, any ideas on trouble shooting?

The passenger side works fine, and the head unit balance is set correctly.

Thanks,

Andrew

Troubleshoot by buying new speakers, removing the door panel (may as well go ahead and remove all 4 door panels), remove old speakers, replace with new speakers, and putting door panels back on.

Factory speakers are notorious for going out. Kill two birds with one stone...upgrading to aftermarket speakers will fix the non working speaker issue and give you better sound.

In that case, you've probably got a loose wire or one of the wires has come disconnected from the speaker or back of the head unit.

are the two driver side speakers wired together somehow? like if one goes out because of a loose wire it would affect the other?

took off the drivers door panel, all looked ok there as well
