I have a 1997 GMC Sierra ext. cab 2wd. On days where it is wet or damp out, it wont start. We've tried putting heet in the gas, thinking there was water in the tank, and that worked a few times, but now it doesnt do anything, no matter how much i crank, it just wont start. Anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks for the tips, but as far as the wires, cap, rotor, and plugs, we replaced those last year. Ive got a rebuilt engine in it, and since we got the rebuilt its been doing this, although we will look into the ignition wires.

I just responded to a similar post a few days ago. I had the same issue on 95 Blazer. Everytime it rained, truck would not start. I pulled the distributor cap off and dried it out. Before putting it back on, i put a small bead of die-electric grease around the bottom edge so that it would create a seal. No more problems after that.

Try a little WD40 on the connections of the plugs, distributer, ect. and see if that helps, its a little crude but it will let you know if its the connections that are the problems.
