The light on the manual HVAC slider is burned out in my 06. I was reading about how to replace the lights on the forum and got to thinking if it was possible to upgrade to the auto HVAC with the digital readout? I looked on ebay at the back of each unit and the connectors are in different locations but look to be similar in their connections. Anyone tried to do this?

its not possible, the HVAC Plenum in the ATC is COMPLETELY Different from its Manual Counterpart.

Cannot be done since the wiring and HVAC unit isnt the same.

as well as make a trip to your local salvage yard to pick up the ATC Plenum.

It can be done. I have done it myself as well as a few other people that were on this board - but not sure if they still hang out here. There was one guy that was documenting the change over, but his website has been down for the last good month or so. I believe his user ID was MontecarloSS (if you do a search, you should find some of his posts relating to the change - if that's not the right name, search my posts as I know that I have a few comments about the conversion). It's a weekend project and you need to plan ahead to make sure you have all the connectors, crimps, sensors, etc that you need for the modification. I'm happy with it. 2006 Silverado, ECSB, original HVAC was dual manual control. If you cant find what you need, PM me and I'll see what I can dig up.
