Ok, found a 88 Wrangler for $400 dollars and it needs a rear end.  I realize that by no means is this a daily driver.  But given the following conditions, would you purchase the Jeep for muddin'?  Don't wanna beat up my girl yet, or ever?!

If: I had $400

If: I had the garage space to work on it while NY freezes over.

If: It has a 6 cyl and a 5spd.

If: I could get a decent rear end.

If: My gf and parents would let me get a 4th vehicle.

If: I had $400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any advice?

Don't remind me of that crap, I took my one needed semester last spring.  Got a B+, but I still don't know a thing or want to.

If it's decent at all I'd scrape up $400 for it.  Even if it has the old "Iron Duke" 4 banger, it would still be alot of fun.  Believe it or not you can fix those things up rather cheaply and make a gooder beater for on-road use too.

The great thing about jeeps is that getting parts for them is easy.  If you want to just get it running or make it a full blown mudding machine you'll be able to find everything you need.

Well, I called today, and the thing was already sold  So thats out the window.  Yes Kansas Kid, that was a C++ reference.  Just finished up my homework about 30 minutes ago.
