Im gonna be buying a truck here soon and im gonna be makn an offer here this coming week. My dads a mechanic and he know inside out of his gm and chevs. So it does need some front end work, new tires, brakes and rotors. So thats about couple grand right there. We do our own fixes. So really just need to take it in for wheel alignment and tires to be mounted. The truck is a 2004 Chevrolet 6L 2400 ext. cab short box 4x4. Has anyone owned a truck like this if so what you guys think of it?

For the most part, the 2500 6.0L LQ4 is rock solid. I wouldn't be afraid of it as long as you a good idea of whats wrong before purchase.

i love the agressive look of the cat-eyed gmt-800s, i like it more then the 900's 1500 front end look...mine has been very reliable, no repairs that have left me stranded(knock on wood)

i personally like that look the least out of the 3. i like the 2006+ silverados, then the 99-02 silvys, then the 03-05's. it wouldnt stop me from buying one, as im going to look a 2004 2500 today. gonna buy it depending on what they give me for the suburban
