I left Fort Lauderdale at 2:30am (after they announced that they're fueling it) and arrived at Cocoa Beach at 5:30am.

 

I was 99.99% skeptical that they would have launched it yesterday. I was surprised that they announced that they are fueling it at 2 am in the morning, and I basically decided that I am not going to miss it even though there's only a 30% chance that it will go up due to weather. The odds were so high that it would be scrubbed.

 

I am sure that there are probably at least 250,000+ people in Florida that thought it would be scrubbed yesterday due to weather and put it off until today or Tomorrow which had a significantly better odds of weather. They will regret their decision. I am glad I went to watch it.

 

The first time I ever saw a shuttle launch was Endeavour last month. I saw it all the way from down here in Fort Lauderdale thanks to completely clear skies. Atlantis was my first time to watch it up close.
