ambro_52 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I've been seeing all you guys wanting to go with the corsa, but i'm a firm believer in just cutting out the muffler and replacing with a pipe thats just a little bigger in diameter than the exhaust inlet/outlet. Here is a video clip of mine set up that way and it sounds awesome. Everyone tells me how great it is sounds and its also pretty quite in the cab. AND NO DRONE, but I did leave the resonator on. (and sorry for the shitty phone qaulity)
ambro_52 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 And let me know what you think, some of you will like it and some will hate it. Just trying to help you guys out there that are stuck on the exhaust mod!
TOTALRECALL Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I just had a new magnaflow put on my 2007 classic and I think yours sounds better at least at idle. Don't know how loud it is at speed. But with mine, I don't like the drone which is right at the 50-65 MPH range where I always drive. Mike
ambro_52 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Its loud when you stand on it, but at a steady cruising speed it sounds pretty quiet. you can hold a conversation with the radio on in the cab. and it sounds great when i drop it a gear or two coming down the hill in town.
sic lsx Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Yeeeeh haw. I'm from south and I think straight pipes sound like ass. Rev pop pop pop. When I hear a popping super loud exhaust I look for a old 70s rust bucket. Not a nice new truck. I will have $100 in my exhaust when I'm don't and will sound much better.
cliobogger Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 i wanna try the new flowmaster super 10. those are nice and loud. but thats what im into, louder the better. haha.
Stevens03 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Wow.. that does sound good. Whats the chances of getting 2 more vids, 1 of you pulling out hard (inside the cab, windows up) and the other just cruising 65-70mpg down the road
ambro_52 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Wow.. that does sound good. Whats the chances of getting 2 more vids, 1 of you pulling out hard (inside the cab, windows up) and the other just cruising 65-70mpg down the road yeah i could pry get that done, but it won't be till the weekend. As long as i remember to do it. and it will be some more phone quality. the picture quality will suck but the sound should be good! And as far as any popping, i haven't heard it do that at all. I'm really happy with the tone.
Stevens03 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I think it sounded really good ... and would love to hear the cruising and "giddy-up" sound clips.
dirtfan21 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 i wanna try the new flowmaster super 10. those are nice and loud. but thats what im into, louder the better. haha. That is what I have and I love it. Not for the faint of heart as it does drone pretty bad around 75-80 mph. Straight pipe roar but no pop, crackle. Just think of a 40 seriers clean sound on major steriods. To the OP, that sounds baddass!
sic lsx Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 anything can sound good at idle. its the revving and wot where it will sound like crap . good example here rev popopopop
sic lsx Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Yes. All u need is cats. But depends on where u live. Im from Florida no emissions yay
Garrett Street Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Sounds good. That's just not my style, though. I can't get past the smooth, controlled sound of a Flowmaster.
