Transmission Slipping

Within the last week I notice that my tranny is slipping and "chunking". I really noticed it at 40 MPH when I stepped on it to clear a yellow light in an intersection. The truck basically went into nuetral before if finally grabbed. I also notice now at 20-30 MPH that it thumps when I am coasting and barely get in the gas. this is really noticeable when going around a sharp tunr where you coast a bit and they ease back into the gas and you can here it thump and then the truck jerks forward as it catches. It only has 11K miles on it. Anyone else have the same issues?

take back to the dealer something wrong with the trans or converter.this is why i disconnected the lock up on my truck.

never the exact same problem, but I had an issue with I think the engine.

before I tuned my truck, when driving on the interstate through town, which is stop and go, brake then floor it kind of stuff, my truck actually (I think) stalled out, then roll started itself. I was braking, and looking to make a lane change, started to accelerate then hit the brakes then punched the accelerator again in quick succession (watching for an opening and finding one in the next lane over) and the truck bucked HARD, barked the tires then the dash gauges acted like I had just started the truck, they dropped to zero then bounced back up. I've been unable to duplicated except one more time (not on purpose) so I haven't bothered bringing it in to the dealer.

Mine does the exact same thing 2011 GMC Sierra with only 500 miles on it.. If I let off on the gas then have to get on it again to get through an intesection or something like that something in the driveline bangs as if the slip joint is in need of grease, I think there is /was a TSB on this where the fix was to add grease to the Spline.. I'm going to bring mine to the dealer i don't think this will be good for the drive shaft U joints.. did you have any luck with yours??

Never had anything like that happen. Take it to the dealer and pray they can duplicate the scenario so they can fix whatever is wrong.

Transmissions on new trucks are not the only thing that are slipping at GM. :seeya:

I wonder where those torque converters are made these days. Maybe they are ASSEMBLED in USA from Chinese made parts. Ford already uses manual transmissions entirely made in CHINA on their Mustang GTs and shamelessly advertises it on the car's sticker. A really great incentive to buy this car!
