5" Rc Lift, Wheels And Tires Installed

Wanted to post some pics to see what everyone thinks. It's a 5" Rough Country suspension lift with 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on Dick Cepek DC-II wheels.

 

I've had it a couple of weeks and so far I love everything about it. I maintained much more of the factory ride than I expected from a 5" lift. Still smooth just a little more bouncy. The tires have the aggressiveness of the mud grapplers and the drivability of the terra grapplers. I can barely hear them at all on the highway. I have no trouble still using the bluetooth, which is something my buddy with the mud grapplers cannot do.

 

I still need to do some trimming since I have some rubbing, but that's just at full turn in reverse. I also want to add some fender flares because the tires are throwing some serious grime down the sides of the truck.

Awsome looking rig. I prefer 20 inch wheels but those wheels and tires along with the lift just really work great together, very clean job, really must have done alot of home work.

Thanks man. I did look around for a while before pulling the trigger. I considered 20's, but decided to save some cash and go with the 18's. Was also scared to death of messing up the factory ride with the lift, so figured 18's might soften the ride a little better.

I would take off the lower chin spoiler off the front bumper and remove the chrome grill insert and it would look awesome!!!

looks good, and i agree with removing the lower valence...did you do the install yourself or have a shop do it for you? what did they charge?

I took it to a local shop. $1000 for the lift then about $800 for the install. I'm a little surprised that they rub also, but it's something about the backspacing of the wheels.

 

Removing the lower valence seems to be the popular opinion. I haven't researched it, but I assume it's a pretty simple procedure???

2 little bolts on the ends, and the rest are clips. You can have it off in under 5 minutes. And thats stopping for a beer.

Looks good. Those wheels look like 20's at first look due to the spoke design.
