I'm getting ready to buy my new tires and rims. The rims will be something like KMC XD spy black and chrome. Not sure yet but that the general idea. I've been thinking about the Goodyear DuraTrac tires, and today I talked to a tire store guy that also suggested I consider the Nitto terra grappler for a quiet and smooth and the MasterCraft because he said it looked really aggressive customers loved it and always bought it again, and it would save me some money. Anyways what do you guys think? I'm mainly getting new tires because I'm pulling off my street tires because I don't care for the looks. Quietness and smoothness I like, but I mostly want a good balance of highway performance and aggressive looks.

Are those LTX/MS on your truck now? You're going to pull one of the best tires made, just for looks??

I'm afraid so. They ride great, quiet and smooth, but it bother me because I'm wanting a new wheel/tire look and I don't think these tires can pull it off. They're so smooth.

Those are some of my favorite tires, and I think you can make it work by flipping to black wall out. You can swap tires for ~$10/wheel and see how it looks. If you're going to a larger tire and "big" look, then I can see the need. My taste is more tame and geared towards "simple", so my opinion won't mean much. My 2 cents...

Hmm, that may be a good idea to try first. So you can actually fip a tire to black wall out even if it was orginally mounted white wall out. For some reason I was thinking you couldn't flip them after they were mounted the first time.

I would like to go bigger but I'm keeping the same size because I don't want to mess with the torsion bars, I also wouldn't care for the loss of mpg after leveling/bigger tires.

He also spoke of that tire. Do they look pretty awesome? I haven't seen any up close, only pictures.

You would flip them inside out and then rotate them to opposite sides. Radials are directional.

The manual states to reverse the rotation of the front tires when you rotate the tires. move rear tires straight up and change sides with the front tires when you put them on the rear. :uhoh:

Still love my Hankook DynaPro ATM's.... I like the look of the GY Duratracs, but I hate GY tires. I have 23.6k on the 'Kooks, and they are still great!
