Mirror Control Switch Backlighting

Just purchased a 2011 Silverado 1500 with power/heated mirrors. They don't have the integrated signal and they don't power fold.

 

I was driving the truck last night and noticed my mirrow switch doesn't light up like the window controls.

 

Can anyone comment on this? Is it supposed to light up?

Yeah unfortunately OCD (Old Chevy Dude) is right above. The 2007 and 2008 had the round switch back-lighted, not sure about 2009. However the 2010 and newer do not, their just painted.

Thanks! It was just odd as I was looking to adjust my mirrors and couldnt see the switch.

 

Oh well.

 

Maybe it's just GM trying to save a buck.
