I took it to the dealer last week, they said i had a small alignment problem and that should fix it. But of course I got it back and the problem continued. Ive got another appointment scheduled for this wednesday. Hopefully we can get it figured out.

If they continue to not fix it, go to another GM dealer

I never figured it out, but it did magically disappear. That means that it will probably reappear at some point. Now my suspension squeak from the driver side is lonely. I wonder if it has anything to do with the transmission dip stick tube recall? The tube could be vibrating under the hood. I had mine fixed, and I'm not sure if yours would be included in the recall.

The foam sleeve around your trans dipstick tube made your vibration noise go away. You were hearing the tube vibrating.

I am interested in keeping informed about the issue you are experiencing and how your appointment went. Could you please keep me informed?

Well it was dropped off there today, after a few hours I called down there and asked if they hear the noise. I was told that they heard it and they were having another mechanic look at the suspension. When they called me to tell me I was able to pick the truck up, I asked if they found the problem. They then told me that they could not pinpoint where the noise was coming from. So they just told me that if it got worse to bring it back. This noise occurs everytime I drive so now Im going to have to drive an hour and a half away to another GM dealer to have them try to fix it....

I understand that you feel frustrated that they cannot pinpoint where the issue is coming from. If I can assist you in anyway please let me know.

I had the problem of a ping wich sounded like something loose in the exhaust near the engine.

I thought it was the Cats, however it turned out to be the starter.

The bendix in the starter had become loose and was just slightley touching the flywheel making the pinging noise.

New starter fixed the problem and now the truck is quiet.

If you remove your starter you can see if the bendix is loose, it should retract back into the starter housing.
