Front Rotors

hey so i did my brakes last weekend and i saw there was a small screw holding the rotor on but when i put the new rotors on that small screw wouldnt line up so i could put it back on, is there a reason for the small screw besides making it easier to set everything into place.

Just there to hold the rotor on when the truck was built. No need for them afterward.
