Adding A Sub!

So im looking at adding a 10"sub to my 4 channel which i had set up, has anyone mounted one 10" or lets say a 8"sub in their gmt800!? im a fan of trying to keep everything under the seat and a clean look. Just curious if anyone did this and where they installed it

They make a box that goes under the back seat if you have a crew cab.

The whole under the seat thing for the crew cab is poop. now the extended cab one is actually pretty good especially one or two tens, uncle had one in his and it hit hard, I have a crew cab with two tens behind the rear seats, they hit hard.

They make it your your year as well. Have to give up the lower storage box which is worth it to me to keep the extended cab clear when I fold up the seats. Its pricey but man it is built like a tank. Find out how it sounds soon enough...

what if i have an extended cab whats the largest sub i can fit under the back seat either upwards facing down or facing up....?

The skies the limit if you build a custom box, but the largest box for sale that I have seen for an EC is a 12".

I like the way my single 10" came out. Not too loud but sounds really good - i was after more fidelity then volume. Hell, I would have taken an 8" if they made it. But since it is a sealed enclosure it does not boom at all so I am happy.

 

Kurt, for your year, Stealthbox has single 12" setup for your rear cab. Pricey I am sure and there are other manufactures that make boxes for it since it was a popular truck. Also, there are alot of people out there that make custom boxes, just do a quick search on ebay and you will see them cheap (just watch out for quality):

I added one to mine. Not sure if you said yours was ext. cab or what. Anyways you maybe be able to pick up a tip or two from this: adding sub '04 silverado
