Rim Size Opinions?

Hey I have a 2011 GMC Sierra Ext Cab.. I am going to put a 2" rough country level on my truck and I am gonna put some beefy er tires on...I found some steel rims on roughcountry.com for 90 buks a rim, but I am unsure what size tire to run, also what size tires I should run on a 16x10 or 16x8???? ANY ideas????

 

Also would it be worth it to spend the extra dough to get a 3" lift in the front and a 1" in the back????????

I thought the newer trucks require a 17" wheel

16's wont fit,or thats what I've been told. The brakes are too big.

I know on mine, some 17s wont fit for the same reason.

Yes, the GMT-900's require 17"+ rims due to the brakes

16's definatley are not gonna fit on a GMT900.... why would you put steelies on a 2011 GMT900? that would be really ugly but thats just me.

 

 

since you like steelies, go look at some classic lock rims...

You were all right they wouldn't fit, and i decided not to go with the steel... I found some black 17" aluminum alloys for a decent price...I shall post pics when I get everything on and good to go,

That I'm not sure of. I know the 1500 900's won't take them though.

2005 was the switch to standard 17" wheels on the 1/2 ton trucks.

That figures. Craigslist is full of 16" 6 lug wheels but no 17".
